It started with a simple question:
What if every milestone in a real estate journey—the closing, the goodbye, the fresh start—was marked with something genuinely meaningful?
What if, instead of a generic gift card or a bottle of wine, a seller received something that honored the community they called home for years? And a buyer received something that welcomed them into the community they’re just beginning to discover?
What if a gift could say more than “congratulations on your transaction”—but instead,
“This place matters. These people matter. And so do you.”
That question became Gleaned & Given.
Our Name
Why Gleaned & Given?
Our name comes from the book of Ruth - one of the most beautiful stories told about community, belonging, and the generosity of neighbors.
In Ruth chapter 2, a woman named Ruth goes into the fields after the harvest to glean - to gather what has been left behind, what is good, what is worth keeping. The landowner Boaz sees her and instructs his workers to drop handfuls of grain on purpose for her. Intentional generosity. Abundance shared.
That’s exactly what we do.
We go into St. Charles County and we gather the very best of what local businesses make. Then we give it, with intention, to the people who matter most to your business.

Every candle in every Gleaned & Given box was hand-poured by a local maker.
Every jar of honey came from bees who call our county home.
Every bar of soap was made by a woman who built her business on Historic Main Street.
Every piece of chocolate or popcorn was made in small batches by a family right here in our community.
We don’t source from national distributors. We don’t order from Amazon. We don’t fill our boxes with products that could have come from anywhere.
We walk into the businesses. We meet the makers. We hear their stories. Any then we put those stories in a box and send them home with the people who matter most to your business.
